Spinner Floor windows from Blade Runner

Post by djrees56 on Wed Jun 15, 2016 8:49 pm

I bought these when I first started to collect film props. They're the floor windows from one of the flying police cars (A.K.A Spinner) used in Blade Runner.

They were broken before I bought them. The Spinner vehicle was used in several other films after Blade Runner. On one occasion it fell of the back of a flet bed truck during a Cheech Marin production.

The Spinner was restored and all the broken pieces (including the floor windows) were sent to The Prop Store of London. I purchased them directly from The Prop Store. They came with C.O.A. One of my favorite film props in my collection.

I've included a pic that I took myself of a restored Spinner. It hangs in the lobby of the EMP Museum in Seattle.

Yes, I remember 'angel heart' Jovanka from the Collector's Box, Dale. It's nice to see she's become a professional director/screenwriter. I can't say I was ever much into the horror genre; although, I did rent more than few slasher films. Really, the only ones that ever got under my skin was A L I E N (1979) [Ash's ice cream party was my 'breaking-point']. And the other, to a lesser degree: The Exorcist (1973). The Shining (1980), and Halloween (1978) were amusing, too; however, I still kept all my marbles. Black Swan (2010) was alright, for something more recent.

I like the photograph you posted, Ken
...it's not easy bein' green.

Thanks, boys!

Top - 1974 / Middle - 1977 / Bottom - 2016
TIMES SQUARE NYC

"The Exorcist" scared the living hell outta me. Shocked Hands down winner in my book. "Alien" comes in second and then "The Shining" is third.

I watched "The Exorcist II" bluray recently and still can't wrap my head around it. I feel the sequel's saving grace is Linda Blair filled out a few scenes nicely Twisted Evil plus some great cinematography. cyclops

Linda Blair at the "Exorcist II" press conference - 1976

"Alien" at the Criterion on May 25, 1979

There is no bigger pic of "Alien" my Sawa angel. Sad

If I come across one you'll be the first to bouncebounce
